Alexandria, Egypt, Majid Al Futtaim Retail, which holds the exclusive franchise rights to operate the Carrefour brand in 38 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, today signed a partnership agreement with Pharos University in Alexandria and its academic partner the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in Ireland to launch a postgraduate programme in retail management.
The postgraduate programme aims to prepare qualified Egyptian graduates for jobs in the retail industry via a dedicated curriculum including key subjects such as e-marketing, supply chain management and strategic planning. After successful completion of the programme, outstanding students will be offered a variety of roles in different departments at Carrefour stores across the country. Carrefour’s existing employees will also have the opportunity to join the executive programme to further develop their skills and deepen their knowledge.

Applicants interested in the programme need a bachelor’s degree in any field in addition to English language proficiency. Successful graduates will gain an international accreditation certificate from the DIT upon completion.
