International Chefs show off their culinary skills at Majid Al Futtaim malls during Dubai Food Festival

Delicious ingredients were chopped, mixed, whisked, tried and tasted live at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif

Dubai, UAE: Majid Al Futtaim’s Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif – in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) - hosted live cooking demonstrations by talented international chefs during Dubai Food Festival.

From March 3rd – March 5th Mall of the Emirates encouraged culinary enthusiasts to post their artistic creations on social media using the #MOEPLATEART. The winning creation will be judged by a panel of professionals and awarded AED10,000.

On March 3 at Mall of the Emirates, Master Chef Silvena Rowe, television personality, owner of Omnia Baharat and writer of best-seller “Cookbook Purple Citrus and Sweet Perfume”, demonstrated her ‘Art of Plating’ skills creating deliciously attractive dishes using raw food.

Chef Tim Read, winner of ‘Master Chef New Zealand’ 2016, was on stage on March 4, marvelling the crowd with his outstanding culinary knowledge and passion, plating up a storm of fresh ingredients.

Additionally, Chef Paul Botista from Common Grounds, Chef Waleed from Sheraton hotel; Chef Master Pizzaiolo Rosario from 800 degrees; Chef Luigi Enriquez from Texas De Brazil; Chef Camille Rigwan from Apres; Chef Hussam from Azkadenya and Chef Vishal Pareek from Angelina, showed off their #MOEPLATEART styles from minimalist and geometric to traditional and rustic during the live culinary performances.

At City Centre Deira, twenty-one-year-old sensation Chef Nikita Gandhi, the youngest participant to win the reality series ‘Master Chef India’, and who was crowned India’s top vegetarian chef on the popular show, tasted a selection of dishes from the mall’s dining outlets.

While at City Centre Mirdif Emirati sensation and young Chef Bader Najeeb, who specialized in desserts, demonstrated three of his favourite recipes.

In addition, a meet and greet social media competition, ‘Dine and Win’ on Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif’s pages saw winners personally meet with the chefs offering an ideal opportunity for them to ask for cooking tips.
