Dubai, UAE; Majid Al Futtaim’s Mall of the Emirates is inviting culinary enthusiasts to showcase their artistic plating skills on social media by sharing their creations using #MOEPLATEART. The ‘Art of Plating’ event brought to the mall in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) during Dubai Food Festival 2016 will be held from March 3rd – 5th

Participants who post their own plated creations on social media using #MOEPLATEART will have the opportunity to win AED10,000 as a judging panel of culinary professionals select the best design and use of ingredients.

During three-day event, international chefs will demonstrate their culinary artistry live in the South Galleria of the mall at noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm, producing beautiful visual creations using the textures, colours, aroma, shapes, architecture, and balance of food.

Participating chefs include British Master Chef Silvena Rowe, television personality, owner of Omnia Baharat and writer of best-seller “Cookbook Purple Citrus and Sweet Perfume”. Her restaurant ‘Quince’ at The May Fair Hotel in Mayfair, London, is influenced by her Turkish heritage and pays homage to her grandfather Mehmed, who would cook the dishes for her father. Currently Chef Silvena shares her time between her restaurants in Dubai, Sofia, New York and London. Chef Silvena will demonstrate her experience in the ‘Art of Plating’ on March 3rd from 4pm to 6pm

Master Chef Tim Rider, winner of Master Chef New Zealand 2015, is passionate about the process of delivering food from the ‘field to the table’ and eating food that is in-season packed with massive flavor. Chef Tim will showcase his flair for artistic plating on March 4th, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Additionally, Chef Paul Botista from Common Grounds, Chef Waleed from Sheraton hotel; Chef Master Pizzaiolo Rosario from 800 degrees; Chef Luigi Enriquez from Texas De Brazil; Chef Camille Rigwan from Apres; Chef Waleed from Kempinski, Chef Hussam from Azkadenya and Chef Vishal Pareek from Angelina, will show off their #MOEPLATEART styles from minimalist and geometric to traditional and rustic during the live culinary performances.

For this edition of Dubai Food Festival and in line with Majid al Futtaim’s vision to create great moments for everyone, everyday, visitors will get the chance to win big at Mall of the Emirates. Visitors spending AED 150 or more will have the opportunity to enter a raffle draw that will allow two shoppers to win AED 10,000.
