Mall of the Emirates Creates a Celebratory Spectacle to Mark Chinese New Year 2016

Dubai, UAE: Mall of the Emirates, Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship lifestyle and luxury shopping destination, played host to stunning celebrations to mark the start of 2016 in the Chinese calendar, the ‘Year of the Monkey’.

From February 8^th – February 21^st, the mall, which has become a firm favourite shopping destination for Chinese residents and tourists, held shows in its Central Galleria while parades that took over the corridors every day at 4:30pm.

Chinese inspired performers glided through the mall ushering shoppers to the Main Galleria where they were treated to a stunning stage show. Minji hostesses opened the daily festivities with performances from Chinese Warriors, elegant umbrella dancers, a Chinese lion and a dancing laughing monk against a backdrop of culturally inspired imagery from giant fans, traditional kites and scattered flowers. At the end of each show audience members had the opportunity to take photographs with the talented artists.
