Omani Artists Mentor Aspiring Artists Throughout the Innovative Art of C Initiative

Muscat, Oman - City Centre Qurum and City Centre Muscat’s Art of C campaign is well underway. Officially launched on October 19^th, the Art of C campaign fosters an initiative inviting local aspiring artists to participate in transforming C-shaped canvases into inspiring works of art. Oman’s most community-driven arts project, the Art of C campaign promotes the local thriving arts culture through a series of mentored workshops. Led by seven renowned Omani artists: Anwar Sonia, Abdul Majeed Karo, Mohammed Shaml, Ali Khalfan Al Marshoodi, Iftikhar Al Badawi, Salim Sakhi and Maryam Al Zadjali, 35 aspiring talents from the community imprint their original personal style onto their blank C sculptures.

“The Art of C provides a stage for local talents to mould their crafts and showcase their inimitable talents. With the support of the Omani Society for Fine Arts and our mentors, guests can observe artists in action, whilst creating great moments for the contestants and their families,” said Husam Al Mandhari, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Muscat.

“We are pleased to host an art hub enabling emerging talents including Omani children, students, and housewives, to nurture their creativity and artistic personalities. The community can anticipate splendid results which will be unveiled during the closing ceremony on  October 30^th”, said Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Qurum.

City Centre malls are also creating great moments for its social media fans who are encouraged to post Instagram photos of their favourite C-shaped artwork and using the hashtags:  #CCMArtOfC and  #CCQArtOfC and by tagging @citycentremuscat and @citycentrequrum to win exciting prizes.
