Majid Al Futtaim Partners with 'the Sameness Project' to Support Labourers in the UAE

Dubai, UAE: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, is partnering with 'The Sameness Project' to launch its 'Together we make a difference' campaign to support labourers in the UAE.

The campaign will see a number of Majid Al Futtaim's iconic brands contribute to offering new experiences to labourers working at the Pullman Residence refurbishment at City Centre Deira. The initiative is part of Majid Al Futtaim's sustainability vision for improved health and safety standards among labourers.

Starting in August, Majid Al Futtaim employees will distribute care packs full of everyday essentials from Carrefour and health experts from the newly launched City Centre Clinic- Deira will be visiting the construction site to conduct free health checks for blood pressure and offer GP consultation for all workers.

Through the campaign, Majid Al Futtaim aims to touch the lives of one thousand labourers making connections with each individual by also gifting them finger printed cups' that showcases the idea that 'Together, we make a difference.'

Majid Al Futtaim has rolled out several community based initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan to support causes and underscore its commitment to giving back to the community.

One of the many stand out community initiatives, the 'Make a difference' campaign which supports underprivileged families in the UAE, received a tremendous response from the community. Last year 30,000 bags of donations containing clothes, books, mobile phones and toys were distributed to families through the Red Crescent UAE.

During Ramadan, the Majid Al Futtaim Charity Foundation produced and distributed 10,000 Qur'ans in Africa and Sri Lanka. Through Zakat donations to their charity partners the organisation also supported tuition and medical treatments for 200 students.
