Majid Al Futtaim opened its fourth branch of Carrefour, and its first supermarket format in Lebanon, Carrefour Market

Beirut, Lebanon 4 February 2019: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, opened its fourth branch of Carrefour, and its first supermarket format in Lebanon, Carrefour Market.

 The opening represents a milestone in Majid Al Futtaim's expansion strategy in Lebanon, in addition to its ongoing plans that aim to open new branches in other areas soon.

Carrefour Market, which is located in Aley area, near the Saraya, offers daily shopping needs of fresh products, bakery, and other items. In addition to the high quality products and special promotions, Carrefour provides the best shopping experience to the customers. The new 2,500 square meter store will also offer the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of 10,000 products.

During a speech at the opening ceremony, Carrefour Lebanon District Manager at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, Jean Abdul Sater, said: "We are pleased to open the fourth branch of Carrefour in Lebanon, which is a major step in our expansion plan and further our presence in this country. We are confirming our commitment to support the communities in which we operate, and we strive to let Carrefour be a bridge through which local farmers and producers spread and reach all areas of Lebanon.” 

And he added: “With our customers’ support and trust, we continue to expand and our doors are always open to those who want to join the big family of Carrefour, especially the competent Lebanese workforce of aspiring, creative and talented young men and women. We promise to offer a variety of products, special offers and unique services to create great moments for everyone, every day.  

It is noteworthy that the new Carrefour market opened in the presence of MP Akram Shahib and under the patronage of Judge Mohammed Makkawi, as well as a number of prominent personalities and partners.
