Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas Turns Nation Galleria into Luxury Cinema Destination for Abu Dhabi Movie Fans

Dubai: Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, has opened a new VOX Cinemas today at Nation Galleria in Abu Dhabi. Giving luxury cinema a new home, the new VOX Cinemas will offer movie fans the chance to enjoy the best in movie entertainment while indulging in unrivalled premium surroundings.

The new 11-screen cinema will seat 800 people at full capacity, increasing the company’s footprint to a total of 122 screens across the UAE and 154 across the region. The latest outlet opening fulfils market demand in Abu Dhabi for more luxury focused cinema attractions based on trends noticed within the Abu Dhabi market when VOX Cinemas opened in Yas Mall last year. This location performed beyond expectations, particularly in regards to the premium concepts offered, confirming the demand for luxury experiences within this market. 

Featuring four VOX GOLD luxury cinemas, Abu Dhabi residents and visitors can now relish in intimate and private surroundings and enjoy the gourmet menu options on offer. Keeping customers at the heart of the VOX experience, VOX GOLD cinema goers will also benefit from wall-to-wall screens, al a carte waiter services, fully reclining armchairs with foot rests and private lounge areas to enjoy before or after the movie.

The new cinema also includes seven VOX Cinema screens, two of which are fitted with surround Dolby Atmos sound. This newgeneration of sound technology creates a multi-dimensional environment, with speakers embedded across the walls and ceiling, providing realistic surround sound. Cinema goers choosing this option will be treated to exceptional VOX Cinemas facilities in addition to ultra-comfortable standard and VIP seating to sink into while watching the biggest blockbusters on screen.

Adding an extra dash of first-class treatment, a private lift can be made available to specific VIP guests upon entering and exiting the cinema. Creating a passage from the carpark straight into the VOX Cinemas foyer, the private lift is a great option for VIP guests who treasure their privacy.
